just a little blurb to share with y’all.  Smile  today, after working there for 1 month, kev and his partners finally signed the official paperwork!  so, it’s a done deal.  so, even though we were already starting to pack, now we better continue to pack!  pack with purposeSmile

we also met with ian’s surgeon at the stollery this morning.  there is nothing they can do for his foot anymore at this point.  they tried what they could.  once he is 5 or 6 there are a number of different surgeries they can try.  (then his bones won’t be as soft).  since the inside muscle of his right foot isn’t good, they can perhaps take muscle from the outside of the same foot and place it on the inside.  (they wonder if the inside muscle just stopped developing at some point.  they can also then do bone surgery and perhaps try to straighten his foot.  for now he just has to wear the brace at night, and be happy during the day without it.  we see him again in 6 months…but nothing will happen.  maybe it would be worth getting a third opinion…but it’s already so busy, and after seeing 2 speciality surgeons at the stollery…hmm…not likely to get a different opinion.  we’ll have to see.

we saw the child psychiatrist again for keira and have her first ‘diagnosis’. severe primary insomnia.  surpriseSmile  anyways, whatever.  we are just doing the best we can to keep her active, and on ‘diet’ (off the eggs, dairy and restricted wheat) and keep a regular sleep schedule.  that’s all we can do.  and pray for peace and patience – just like everyone elseSmile

so.  picts to come.  have some super cute ones of ian and his smothering bambi.  (our kitty.)  we had bambi and thumper, and kev accidentally ran over thumper, or thumper jumped under the tire…they were outside cats 95% of the time.  but we’re feeling bad for bambi cause he’s so lonely, and he’s a decent house cat, and it’s just so cold…and he’s so awesome with the kids, and he doesn’t have long hairs….so, yes, he is now a house cat for maybe a couple hours a day.  (helps keep the mice out of the house tooSmile

anyways, hi all, hope you are all doing well!

hello there. just wanted to share some cute things that the kids were saying...but now i'm forgetting them. keira was saying that we should get married (like her and i), i tried to explain to her that only men and ladies should get married...and then she said like you and daddy? i said yep. she said, was i baby in your tummy? she always wants to know if she was part of something, somehow. for now, to keep it simple:) i told her that you have to be married first to get babies. (we'll take that one as it comes!) ian was at speech this week - he's doing better at imitating but the whole comprehension is sometimes questionable. cutest thing is that lately he's trying to say keira's name. it sounds like kaw...or kwa...but it is specific to her:) he is always singing. it is not unusual for him to be singing the b-i-b-l-e in the grocery store...quite loud. or anywhere. he definitely has been happier lately - really enjoying it! (i told the pediatrician that i think it's the biogaia drops...he said that it's because ian's adenoids were removed and that's why he hasn't had a single ear infection since his surgeries!!! yay:) i don't dare quit the biogaia drops though...just in case:) keira saw a child psychiatrist last week, we see him again next week. he's tentatively diagnosing her with severe insomnia...wow:) we'll leave that:) keira wants to skip from age 3 to 5. she knows she has to be 5 before she goes to the 'big school'. (with less than 200 students). right now she goes to preschool at the 'little school'. (which has around 1000 students). at swimming lessons and it seems everywhere else keira is generally outgoing and kind of hyper. her swimming instructors asked if she eats straight sugar. i didn't tell them that i try not to give her sugar at all...:) but then the teachers at preschool said she's the quietest kid in the class...are we talking about the same person? :) kevin is living 6 days a week in westlock - he's busy and things are going well enough...they need more staff...then maybe he won't be gone from 7amish to midnightish:) but all in good time!!! we are well here, thankful for so many things - hope this finds all of you well!!!
