so hi. it's been forever:) hope all is well with all of you! we've doing fine - definately been having those regular ups and downs...but through it all we are so thankful and blessed! what a wonderful family we have - it is 3 years ago this month that we first found out that we were expecting Keira...it feels so much longer, but yet...wow. it's so easy to take these 2 munchkins for granted, but at the same time we have so many wow moments throughout the day...the week...;)
keira is all about 'i do it', 'see ya later', 'there you go'...so many things that she's copy catting (sp?) she has been 'potty trained' a week now. meaning we've had 3 accidents in the last week, but she wears a diaper when she's in bed. ian is blabbing away....bababab...huge grins, he's a photogenic little man. with his 4 front teeth in the works, one is all the way through...the others are working on it. he isn't sitting yet. he's like his big sister...in no rush to do everything - which is nice for me - he's staying my baby for longer:) he's 8 months and somewhere over 16lbs...we've been struggling with the two of them eating and filling their diapers...still no sleeping in this house, but loving the two of them, well, i guess we just wouldn't want it any other way. we have had a second opinion from a podiatrist on ian's feet...this podiatrist has referred us to a different doctor at the stollery (in the same clinic as the other doctor) for surgery on his right foot. we have some aggressive insoles coming in the meantime for ian's feet - $500 everytime...thankful we should be reimbursed for 90%...i still have to check to see if there's a cap on that:) but we want something to start happening for him because he loves standing, and that is only reinforcing his feet in the wrong way!
so...i have been to the dentist like 8 times in 11 weeks...no end in sight. possibly 2 more root canals coming. i think the kiddies took all the good stuff out of my teeth. so between foot doctors appts, pediatrician appts, other specialist appt's and my teeth...we've been out of barrhead a lot in this new year. all in westlock or edmonton, but thankfully we have the stollery with so many awesome specialists close by!
kev is hanging in there...he's had some snowmobiling time, not enough...but some;) he's on the last leg of his 3 year term as elder...we're all looking forward to some quality family time! as some of you know, he was nominated pretty much the same month we found out we were pregnant with keira...so. yes, looking forward to april/may! also for spring!!! loving all this daylight that we're blessed with!
loving our home - kev and i can't believe it's just been over a year....we are still happy and excited about it! location, space, privacy...we have it all - we are VERY fortunate - the Lord definately made that all happen - no chance in it!
so. just thought i'd say hi everyone, i'll try to post some more picts, if any of you have blogs, pls send the address to me...please...so it feels more like a 2-way communication - kind of keeping up:)
