i thought that the babyhawk was THE carrier! till I got it:) I've been doing research on all baby carriers for...forever. this is a mei tai - i waited until i got a good deal - now i'll see if someone else wants this good deal:) we're going for the beco butterfly II; (i was hoping to have one before we left for winnipeg (monday); i'm a little nervous going by myself with a baby and our luggage; hoping that i can do a good job:) was hoping to have keira in a carrier for part of the time so i can manage everything. how does one go through security with a baby? with me taking off my coat, and carrying her diaper bag and her...well - i look forward to it :P

she fell asleep really fast in the carrier...but once she tries to move...she gets upset because she has limited range of motion. her father likes her to be a 'free spirit' so she always has lots of room for movement, and her limbs are never too bundled to limit movement. so we'll see how it goes:) i've been trying to catch her smiles on a movie - but she doesn't like this silver box in her face...we managed to take one today:)

oh ya - our little lady is 11 lbs. while i was trying to get her to smile in her bouncy chair - i was taking movie after movie, picture after picture, and meanwhile what i thought was gas .... well needless to say i'm washing EVERYTHING!!! poor girl - she's like - mom leave me alone already and just clean me! so we had an emergency bath.

the picts are after the emergency bath. she can't escape. i will give her a break now. the white sleeper is a newborn sleeper.

so we got our new digital camera. and i went crazy as you can tell. every picture is so cute i can't pick. as you can tell. :)

you may think - wow, this is alot of picts - honestly i had to pick out of over a hundred - yes - snap crazy! just every face she makes is so cute, it's impossible to choose. so she had her 2 month immunizations yesterday....and they put 3 needles in her - it was soooo sad. i was nearly crying myself - when you finally have her settled after one, then they do the next. and they warn you after the 3rd one that it really burns. nice. meanwhile i have to hold her down. i feel so blessed that i am able to experience a mothers love. i told kev after lunch today that i was going to put keira down, and get stuff done. she fell asleep on me - usually i don't let her...but i felt bad after yesterday, and i just sat there watching her sleep......my heart feels overwhelmed with how i feel for her....there's nothing that i wouldn't do for her! as i thought of how i felt about her, i thought - there's no words for how i love her; and this is me with my sinful nature and inability to do any good. imagine how much more so our Father loves us! with His Perfect Love! i felt very insignificant, but amazed by how much He loves us. needless to say i didn't get much done. but our little lady is crying...more later:)

so yes, every now and then i go a little picture crazy:) our little girlie is now 8 weeks and 1 day. tomorrow we go to the health clinic and she will receive her 2 month immunizations and she will be weighed again. last we knew she was 10 lbs even at her 6 week check-up. any guesses? hmmm...we'll see:) luke was out for almost a week - the boys went snowmobiling and we went to whitecourt where they saw the guiness book of records for the longest back flip on a snowmobile broken by for sure 10 feet. yesterday kerry dropped by with cousin levi - i've been meaning to take picts - keira was fussy but that's okay:) today was the first time i took out keira in an outfit! we went to see lucas and jayden at their swimming lessons (we hung out with marcia, aaron and hannah). hannah is just over a year older and loves babies!!!! she will make keira good and tough because she just wants to love keira and is a bit rough! she has older brothers:) she is sooo cute when she sees keira, it is pretty special! otherwise all is well here...i've been able to wear one pair of jeans from before keira...but some of them are still a little too snug to be comfortable. i can't wait for spring so i can push keira in the stroller and walk to the park! what else....kev is taking care of keira right now so i can do this. he scrubbed the bathtub tile surround tonight - i've never had them that shiny! that was very nice. well, i hear the little one - gotta run - lots of love!

hello all - it is not bright but early:) keira is not quite all the way awake. the shower was very nice last night; there was some fun games, good food, good company and too many gifts:) our camera failed to work...sigh. a new one is on the way. we have missed too many photo opportunities, i guess this camera has served it's time - 6 years? i don't know - it just doesn't want to work. keira behaved so well!!! meaning she slept through the whole thing. little did i know that she had her sleep confused...she thought it was night time and now she is waking up. (4:15am) i had it really good - she was sleeping from 1am-6 or 7 am. now that she passed out at around 8 or 9 pm she is a little off. hopefully it's not too hard to switch. she's not completely awake though - she's just making tons of noise in her sleep, a sure indication that she will wake up and cry any second...so i am up and biding my time. :) i hope everyone is doing well. i understand southern manitoba is like a skating rink...too bad that mom and dad's flights were cancelled yesterday...twice. also, thankfully matt and kerry with levi are still in wpg. highways are closed - hopefully the highways clear up nice for them before they leave. might as well be with family while they wait:) so, i guess this blog isn't entertaining anymore...i'm just blabbing waiting for our little darling. she has completely lost her newborn look. her face is filling out - catching up with her double chin:) i can't remember if i mentioned it on the blog...but she has been playing a little game with dad and i....last week some time i stuck my tongue out at her (in fun:) and she stuck hers back out at me. i thought maybe it was coincidence so i did it again - so did she. we have proceeded to do this with her since then...and it is so cute and funny. she thinks her dad sticking out his tongue at her is so fun...because of course he makes weird faces and she smiles sooooo big and comes close to laughing! he tried peek-a-boo but it may be too soon:) so yes, we are enjoying our big little girl...she has her immunizations next week so we can weigh her then....i'm wondering if she might be even 11 lbs by then? i kind of hope not because she's already growing too fast! but i know it is healthy:)

so - here's some more. i know they are all similar, but she has different faces. the fourth one is a look i see lots. when i'm feeding her she looks at me "what are you looking at?" "who do you think you are?" it's her suspicious look. i try to tell her - "i'm your mom - i take care of you." she still doesn't trust me.

our 10 lb'er is wearing her 7 lb hospital sleeper - thankfully she can still wear it another time or two.

so many picts - i know - she looks different on camera than in real life. my splurge club girls had a little party for us - we received a certificate to baby gap, a cute diaper cake and some outfits. lots of fun - keira settles real good on everybody else! i guess she knows what i have - food:)

the one pict by the black tiles - we were steaming her in the bathroom and she was smiling away. she was just grinning away for kev just now - just to be able to catch it on film. our digital camera has not been reliable lately...this is not the time!!! so we're going to have to rectify that soon. all is well - keira has passed her cold on to us - well, she had it first anyways. she is trying to take everything in - when you walk around she's moving her head around as if to keep track of what rooms she's in. her legs and neck are so strong - when she's upset she can almost launch herself. we'll have to put a movie on this blog of the noises she all makes - she has her huffy "i'm not impressed" sound. when she's in bed she has a whole ritual of different sounds. so funny. what did we do for entertainment before this? :) what did we do with our time before her? i just can't imagine anything different now. we're very thankful!!! anyways, all is well over here in barrhead, not enough snow, but otherwise good:) all the best to everyone, have a good weekend! lots of luv from us:)
